As a former division 1 athlete, I bring a unique perspective to every project as a content creator. My passion for content and branding helps me deliver story telling that resonates with audiences across multiple sports. Currently leading a staff of four full time creatives and 14 students to tell 18 programs stories at Tulsa.
Making fans feel like we did this for them in order for more buy in.
Breaking down the decisions we made on the new design which included a lot of elements from the city of Tulsa.
Adding a new unique mark to enhance our mascot name that previously was often mistaken for other mascots in order to push more brand awareness.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Communications Broadcast Journalism with a Minor in Sports Studies from Penn State University. During my time as a student-athlete, I gained expertise in sports with multiple internships while learning skills from softball that directly reflect success in the workplace.
I began my professional career at Juniata College serving as an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications for 24 DIII programs. From there, I was hired back at Penn State as the Social Media Coordinator for 31 DI programs. Currently, I am wrapping up my second year as the Director of Content and Branding at the University of Tulsa with 18 DI programs.
I have expertise in growing a creative department built on trust and support for one another. I have started student programs at each of the universities that I have served. I have laid foundation of content request systems, building creative departments from scratch, staying in budget while stock piling gear, and I am proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite, camera gear and INFCLR.
